Two pieces sold together because together they work: a chunky knit jumper on top and wide trousers in a crinkled fabric below, both in the same natural shade. Put on the whole thing and the outfit is sorted.

The shoulder. This is the charm of it, and it is worth understanding before you buy: it is not strapless. The neck is high and closed, and the shoulder opens into a cut-out on each side, crossed by a knitted strap. It shows the shoulder without leaving your chest bare, which is a rare and very welcome combination.

The knit. Chunky and open, the kind that lets the air through. It falls loose from the shoulder, with a wide sleeve finished in a ribbed cuff. It does not warm you like a closed jumper: it warms you like a heavy cardigan.

The trousers. Wide from top to bottom, with an elastic waist and a visible drawstring. The fabric is deliberately crinkled, so there is no ironing. And they are long: they break slightly on the shoe, which is how they are meant to be worn.

With flat sandals it is everyday. With a simple heel and an earring, it goes out to dinner.

What to wear underneath

The knit is open and the shoulder is cut out, so a strap will show. A strapless bra or a fine-strap one in a skin tone sorts it out; a wide strap will be visible.

Size guide

XS to 3XL. Both pieces are loose as standard, so there is no need to size up: take your own. The trouser waist is elastic with a drawstring, so it forgives a fair amount; what matters is the hip.

Garment measurements, not body measurements: in the XS the jumper is 100 cm around the chest and 63 cm long, and the trousers 106 cm at the hip and 99 cm long. In the 3XL, 132 cm chest and 69 cm long on top, and 138 cm hip and 105 cm long below.
